Day 2 : Delhi - Kathmandu - Paro
After breakfast transfer to Indira Gandhi International Airport for flight to PARO via Kathmandu. Assistance on arrival at PARO Airport and transfer to hotel. A welcome drink in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day
3 : Paro - ThimphuIn the morning follow the winding road beside the Pachu (chu means river or water) downstream to its confluence with the Wangchu, then up-valley to Thimphu. Lunch at hotel. Afternoon visit the Memorial Chorten where the faithful circumambulate the shrine dedicated to the late king, telling their prayer beads as they walk. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 : Thimphu - Shongpang
Drive north up the valley towards Dechenchoeling (the residence of the Queen Mother) palace following the Thimphu - chu. The transport will reach up to Pangrizampa, the last motor point. From here the trek starts towards Shong Pang which takes about 4/5 hours through villages with beautiful vegetation, rhododendrons etc. Overnight in camp.
Day 5 : Shongpang - Dopshingpang
Day 6 : Dopshingpang - Chorten Ningpo
Today the trek to Chorten Ningpo is rather gradual and you will be walking into thick forests. Before you reach to the camp you will pass by villages and rice fields. Overnight in camp. Alt. 2700 m.
Day 7 : Chorten Ningpo - Zomlingthang
For about 2/3 hours the trek trail will be through villages and suddenly you will be on a motor road. From the motor road you will follow the road towards Punakha which is the ancient capital of Bhutan. Evening at leisure. Those interested can fish in the Mochu (Mochu means female river). Overnight in camp.
Day 8 : Zomlingthang - Limukha
Follow the motor road till Punakha Dzong and then cross the Phochu (Phochu means male river), the river that runs through the remote Lunana region. You will have a steady half day climb into a forest of scattered long needle chir pine. Make sure to fill your water bottle before leaving Punakha, as there is no water on the way for a couple of hours. You will have wonderful views of the Punakha valley and the Dzong. If the weather is clear you can see some snow mountains to the north. The camp is near the Limukha village. Alt. 2250 m.
Day 9 : Limukha - Chungskha/Wangdi
The trek ascends gradually through a thick forest of oak spices and rhododendrons till you reach Dochula Pass. Then down through a thick forest till you reach a small monastery dedicated to Lama Drukpa Kuenley. From Chungsakha you can look across the valley to Samtengang on the ridge to the south. Walk down hill till you reach the motor road and then drive for about half an hour to Wangdi. Overnight in Wangdi Guest House.

10 : Wangdi - ThimphuAfter breakfast drive to Punakha Dzong view point at the north end of the Punakha Valley. It was the nation's capital until 1966. The Je-Khenpo, Head Abbot in the country, and most of the monks of Thimphu occupy this Dzong throughout the winter since the lower elevation of this valley has a more comfortable temperature. Return drive over the Dochula Pass, 3000 m, and stop at Dochula Cafe for a cup of tea/coffee and snacks. If the weather is clear you will have a beautiful view of the Himalayan mountains. Continue the drive to Thimpu. Lunch at the hotel. Afternoon some sight-seeing and shopping. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast transfer to Paro Airport for the Delhi flight via Kathmandu. Assistance on arrival at Delhi Airport and transfer to hotel. Afternoon free for independent activities and shopping. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : Delhi
Morning Old Delhi sightseeing visiting Red Fort, Rajghat, Shantivan and India Gate. Afternoon free till transfer to I.G.I. Airport for international connection.
